Hergenrother Realty Group, a division of Adam Hergenrother Companies, has a new opening for an Accounting Manager who will play an instrumental role in the financial future of our company.


Your Mission

Our real estate company is currently in 24 locations and counting. Each location is a small business where it is our fiduciary responsibility to help these teams who have chosen to partner with us minimize expenses and maximize profit. It is our mission to transform lives through homeownership, which not only includes the lives of our clients, but the lives each of our CEOs, agent partners, and employees through growth and wealth creation. The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in helping us fulfill this mission.

You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of the operating budget, as well as each team’s individual budget, performing all accounting duties, analyzing team financials for recruiting purposes, as well as overseeing all human resources, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, payroll, corporate contracts, credit cards and banking, and insurance administration.

This position requires a well-organized individual who understands accounting principles and best practices, and is able to think creatively and pivot quickly as the company grows. You must be analytical, but quick. This position requires just as much doing as analyzing and the doing must be done fast. Much of your day will be focused on bookkeeping, P&L reviews, and expense management, as well as providing weekly accounting summaries to each of our teams. Additional projects will include budget reviews, financial analysis of potential new teams, human resources management, vendor negotiations, and contract renewals.

You’ll be directly reporting to HergGroup’s Chief Operating Officer, with regular collaboration with the HergGroup Leadership Team and each location’s CEO.

– FINANCIAL WIZARD – Like Rumpelstiltskin, you are able to spin straw into gold. Figuratively, of course. Numbers run in your blood. You enjoying data entry, number crunching, and financial analysis. You believe numbers tell a story and you are able to translate complicated financial data into easily digestible information, so that others can make sound decisions.

– RECOVERING PERFECTIONIST– Dotting your “I”s and crossing your “T”s comes naturally. Your work is precise and thorough. You enjoy diving into data and the details. You are not afraid of a little (or a lot) of paperwork or repetitive tasks. Repetition only makes your work product stronger; instead of sloppy. However, you do not allow your perfectionism to slow you down or get in the way of achieving results.

– Real estate industry experience preferred.


What will the company look like in one to three years?

HergGroup was ranked #18 in the world in 2018 by Real Trends The Thousand as Advertised in The Wall Street Journal (up from #28 and #49 the previous two years). We closed out 2017 with over 1,000 real estate transactions and expect that number to triple within the next few years. We have placed a strong focus on lead conversion in order to help more people transform their lives through homeownership. We expect to grow our administrative and operational staff by an additional 10 employees to keep up with our continued growth.
