EPISODE #006
Discipline = Freedom
But I know from experience that discipline doesn’t come easy, and it’s not really anyone’s natural state. Like a muscle, you have to train it and practice it if you want strong discipline.
You also have to understand that this isn’t going to happen all at once. Success is sequential, not simultaneous. It’s all the small wins and consistent actions adding up to create something exponentially larger.
And one of the best ways to start practicing discipline on a regular basis is by creating a morning routine. I suggest modeling your routine off of someone who is where you want to be — because success leaves clues.
It doesn’t matter if you start with meditation, journaling, exercise, contemplation, reading, or something else entirely. You just have to take consistent action over time if you want to see results. Start with something small so you can get those small wins early, then slowly add new things as your routine becomes a habit.
As you do, it will get easier and easier to bring the same level of discipline into every aspect of your life.
