In this episode, we’re going to bridge the gap between leadership and spirituality, beginning with the three most important things that all leaders have to do:
- CAST A VISION – A lot of people get lost in the word vision, thinking it has to be this 10-year aspirational goal of wealth and luxury. And that can be a vision, but that’s a very limited idea of casting a vision. Leaders also need to be able to cast a vision for the next hour, the next week, the next month — and you need to be able to share that vision with the people you lead.
- CLARITY – Do you remember when you had to actually take out a map and figure out where you were going? It was harder to get a sense of where you were going than it is today using a GPS, and we had to take a lot more stops to ask for directions. When you have clarity in your leadership, you are the GPS for everyone else, giving them a clear path to follow, as quickly as possible.
- REMOVE ROADBLOCKS – When you cast a vision and you can see it with clarity, you will be able to spot and remove any obstacles in the way before your team encounters them. In the end, this all comes down to how well you and your team communicate.
You’ll know you’re really doing this successfully when you can step back from your business and the people you put in place have such clarity on your vision that they can lead everyone else.
