#032 – What Is Money Anyways? How to Spend It Mindfully

EPISODE #032

Let’s be honest – there is a lot of uncertainty with the economy right now, and money is top of mind for most people. Now is the time to take a hard look at your finances and really think about whether you’re using money intentionally in every transaction you make or if you’re using money as a distraction and escape. There’s no judgement one way or the other, but either way, our relationship with money provides us amazing insight into where we are living our values and where we are not.

It’s fascinating because two people can buy the exact same item (whether it’s a new car, a vacation or even a private jet), and the intention behind the purchase can be vastly different. One can be purchasing something in an effort to feel whole and complete while the other can be making the same purchase from a place of joy and contribution. So you want to ask yourself – particularly right now – why are you spending money on certain expenses to begin with? That goes for everything from a new home down to a Netflix account.

If you follow that question and get behind the mind, you’ll be able to see whether you’re using money purposely with intention or if you’re using it as an escape to protect your ego. Again, neither are wrong, but if you’re committed to personal growth through business success money is a big part of that and having clarity about your relationship with money is key. In this episode, I walk you through how to be 100% clear on your relationship with money, so that you’re using it consciously as a tool for growth both in your business and life.
