“I’m doing all the things, but I’m just not getting the results I want…” I hear some form of this comment almost every day. Sometimes it’s from an employee or colleague. Sometimes it’s from a coaching client. Sometimes it’s from a podcast listener or someone in our Facebook Group community.
Listen, I get it. At some point, all of us have had the experience of doing “all the things” and then been frustrated when they aren’t working. It often boils down to one of two things…
1) You’re doing all the right business tactics, but not focusing on personal growth enough. So you’re putting a ceiling on the business success that you are capable of…
2) You’re doing all the personal growth work, but aren’t taking enough massive action in your business.
But how do you tell which one is keeping your business from growing?
That’s exactly what we talk about on this week’s episode. Our conversation started when a podcast listener emailed in with this exact question. In her case, she was doing all the personal growth work (even finding more peace and joy) but it wasn’t translating into business success.
We talk about the very fine line between taking massive action in the business world and not being attached to outcomes in the spiritual sense, so you can actually create the results you’re looking to achieve.

[2:40] First, you must really ask yourself if this is the right business for you. Next, it is common for people to feel caught in a trap as they work more on the spiritual side of things, feeling like they want to take their foot off the gas. We explain that both spiritual work and business can serve as a distraction to not deal with other parts of your life.
[5:13] You don’t let go of working hard and taking massive action, you let go of the material item or personal feelings you get through the results or specific outcome. The more you do this, the clearer you see about what in the business actually needs to get done, which will in turn most likely make the bottom line numbers go up.
[9:16] This is where having a great coach or mentor comes in to help you work with blockages and remove stagnant energy.
[12:53] Even though we aren’t attaching ourselves to any position we are in, it is still important to take massive action and take steps. It’s not about being a weak or passive leader. In fact, not being attached to the outcome will free you up to be a strong leader that tends to the results, numbers, and holding your team accountable.
[14:30] When we aren’t attached to a certain outcome, we can let feelings and emotions come and go instead of getting attached to them and labeling them as “good” or “bad.”
[24:50] Start small and practice not needing a result or outcome from conversations and little events here and there in your life. You will see that this is what opens the path to radical conversations and winning strategies.
